For my latest project in Typography, my class had to create a poster for a play being presented by the newly formed Actors Theater of Blacksburg. Their opening play is called Looking Over the President’s Shoulder.
This is what I’ve come up with so far.
Here’s a little bit about the play in order to understand some of my design decisions. The play is based on a a true story about a butler who served under four presidents. He had aspirations to become an opera singer but instead became a butler as a means to support his family. Throughout his 21 years as a presidential butler, he saw and heard many things a normal person would not have access to. This brings about the main premise of the play - the many tales he has to tell.
